Pain and palliative care supports people with long-term pain. It also supports people with a serious illness such as cancer, and their families. Palliative care aims to ease pain and other symptoms, and it can be given alongside other treatment. Before a hospital in India sends a written plan, its doctors review your reports, your medicines and your symptoms. They may suggest medicines, physiotherapy or other care. India Medical Cart does not offer unproven stem cell or regenerative therapies. The treating doctor decides which care is right for you.

Questions Families Ask About Pain and Palliative Care
What Is Palliative Care?
Care that treats pain and other symptoms of a serious illness, alongside the treatment for the illness itself. It is not only for the end of life.
Can Pain Be Treated Without an Operation?
Often, yes. Hospitals use medicines, injections and nerve treatments as well as procedures. The treating doctor decides what is right for you.
What Should I Send Before Asking for a Quote?
The reports and scans for the illness that is causing the pain, a list of the medicines you take now and what they have done for the pain, and a note of how long you have had it.
Will I Be Comfortable Travelling Home?
Ask the treating doctor. They decide when you can fly and what you need for the journey, including your medicines and a letter for carrying them.
Can My Doctor at Home Continue the Plan?
Ask the hospital for the plan in writing before you leave, with the name and dose of every medicine, and share it with your doctor at home.
Do You Arrange Care at Home in My Country?
No. We help you get treatment in India. Care at home is arranged by your own doctors, and the hospital's discharge summary is what they will need from you.
